Grand Prize Winner: Middle Tennessee State University for "In My Head" by Angel Snow

 

The challenge: Make the best recording possible using only Shure microphones. Schools were judged to be winners by a panel of independent engineers and producers selected by Shure.

 

Spring of 2014, MTSU was awarded a new set of assorted Shure products, including KSM, SM, and Beta microphones, as well as SRH headphones, a prize package valued at more than $11,000. Each student received KSM42,  SRH840 headphones, valued at $250.

"AIN'T NO SUNSHINE" Meets "The Smiths"


This is a video of Aristotle and me enjoying his Smith's inspired remake of Bill Wither's "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone" as part of Audio Engineering for Producers course. We were using verb to create an authentic Johnny Marr Guitar Sound.

LOST IN TRANSLATION VIDEO WITH REMASTERED ARCADE SOUNDS


A sound design from a scene in the movie "Lost In Translation."  Created in Remote and Field Recording class,  student established arcade sounds by blending a variety of location recordings.
